Principal's Message

~Sam Sananikone

First, I would like to thank all of the school staff members, the volunteer parents, and the teachers alike. Without everyone’s time and personal commitment, we definitely would not be able to accomplish our goals and objectives of this school year. Job well done!

For the past few months, our school has been hosting many wonderful events, all of which have been made possible thanks to our volunteer parents. On January 27th, 2018, our Academic Dept held the academic contest, and thanks to our Academic Dept Associate Director, Vivian Meng, and the Academic Dept staff members, the event was a success. Another big event is our Year of the Dog New Year Celebration. Under the guidance of our Operation Dept Director, Calvin Lo, we all had a great time welcoming the Chinese New Year on February 10th, 2018.

As a member of the ANCCS, SJCS has been an active participant in the ANCCS’s activities. This year, the organization had chosen our campus to host their Academic Contest on March 24th and the Sports Tournament on May 19th and 20th. As a result of these engagement, many of our SJCS parents and students have become closely involved. We will continue to maintain our strong support of ANCCS for years to come.

We are always grateful to our teachers who have provided guidance to our students and on May 5th we held the annual banquet to show our appreciation. Thanks to volunteer parents, Calvin Lo, Anna Madilao, Ann Chung, and Shireen Tung, for making the event possible.

As mentioned in the beginning of this school year, improving our school’s IT system, especially, our school’s website, has been one of the main objectives. Thanks to our IT Dept Director, En-Tao Feng, and her IT team, our school’s website has been significantly improved. We are and will continue to improving our IT system moving forward.

Lastly, I would like to congratulate all students who are graduating this year. As I’ve mentioned in my graduation message, life is a never ending journey of learning and discovering new things. Never give up and always be proud of your heritage.

I sincerely wish all of you a wonderful summer and I hope you will continue to lend your support to our next school year’s Principal, Ms. Gloria Yu. I know we will have another successful year under her leadership. See you all on August 19th, 2018.
